Adrawingaday sketches and ink drawings. Self-portraits, pin-ups, surrealism, reverse mermaids and some flowers that look suspiciously like vulvas.

A drawing a day is progressing well. Still drawing on sticker blanks for #adrawingaday, a regular and simple project for sharpening drawing skills and also, unwinding at the end of the day. While I can’t noticeably see an improvement, hopefully I will be able to look back on this documentation and see it in the fullness of time.

Today I am also celebrating having access to a computer again! I haven’t had one for the last couple of weeks

Drawing, new ideas and works in progress. Drawing of late. It’s an absorbing process to participate in, and I can feel a mental “dusting off” of skills that were in long-term storage in my brain. I have also been posting a lot of little sketches and thumb nail ideas into my Instagram account, as well

Artist video round up I need to put some metaphoric eggs into a collective basket. These eggs are in the form of some short artist videos about my artist practice and residency at theGRID hybrid arts collective in 2012. The trailer – Gridlines EO1 teaser The full film – Gridlines Episode 1 – Kelly-Marie McEwan

Pinterest is something I have been aware of for some time now, but have held off on joining. It’s something that several people have expressed confusion over; because apparently, my work would fit in well there….? Externally, I’ve seen it as a pastel-coloured cupcake land where inspirational quotes abound and unicorns float on heart-shaped clouds
