A Fair Isle crochet hat

I am moving on to colder climates shortly, and my partner may need a woolly hat.

Since my ankle has been sore over the last two days, I have been busy working on a Fair Isle stitch hat in nine different colours. It is complicated, but exciting to be successful at, one coloured patch at a time.

It’s such a mess, there is no pattern for this. But I’m having a ball making it up along the way.

Hopefully I will be able to block it out into a rounder shape, it is kind of square-ish right now.

I also have an amazing partner who has given me the green light for earflaps and a pompom also. Hooray!
